Child sexual exploitation and young people with learning disabilities

DATE: Friday 21st April 2017 with Rosie Creer

Young people with learning disabilities are very vulnerable to sexual exploitation and the lack of professionals' awareness of the sexual exploitation of young people with learning disabilities means they are often not considered in local multi-agency arrangements to end child sexual exploitation. This has serious implications for the identification and support of young people at risk of sexual exploitation. The course is based on Respond's expert knowledge of working alongside people who have been sexually exploited.
