The Respond Team

Amelia has background in social care and sex education, and has supported people with learning disabilities, autism and additional needs for eight years. Prior to joining Respond as a Specialist ISVA, Amelia supported people with learning disabilities, including survivors of sexual violence, to develop their understanding of relationships and sex through education. Amelia also has a degree in Education where she researched the inclusion of people with disabilities in the education system – and as such, is an advocate for people having equitable access to support and services. Having worked in social care and education, Amelia has the experience of supporting many different people and is a strong believer in the power of freedom and choice.
