Georgina joined Respond as the Organisation Effectiveness Director in October 2021 and is a senior manager with considerable experience within UK-wide psychological wellbeing organisations.
She is a BACP accredited and BPC registered Psychodynamic Counsellor/Psychotherapist. As a therapist she has worked for a number of years in the NHS, education and voluntary sectors with a range of different settings.
Since 2008 she has been in senior management roles, first as the Director of Clinical Services at SurvivorsUK, a national charity working with men who have experienced sexual violence and from 2015, as Head of Talking Therapies at Wimbledon Guild, a large local charity in the London Borough of Merton.
She has a keen interest in ongoing personal and professional development, particularly around the unconscious at work and integrating psychotherapeutic themes into organisational life. In 2014 she completed an MA in Leading and Consulting in Organisations – psychodynamic and systemic approaches, from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust.
Georgina continues to volunteer her time and skills and previously held a trustee role at Embrace CVOC, who support children who are victims of crime, and was Chair of the Operations Committee. Since November 2020 she’s been a trustee at Carers First and is Vice Chair of the People and Safeguarding Committee. She also volunteered her leadership expertise with Pilotlight, a social enterprise supporting other charities to become more effective by coaching Chief Executives and their boards, was a mentor to new Pilotlighters and a mentor at ACEVO
