Katie is an art psychotherapist who works in an integrative way using various art mediums and different theoretical approaches such as psychodynamic, somatic, gestalt and person centered. Katie has an MA in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy from the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE), a Postgraduate Certifiate in Promoting Emotional Wellbeing in Children and Families from the Tavistock and Portman Clinic and a BA in Childhood Studies from Leeds Met University.
Katie has gained a wealth of experience across her career as a support worker and manager working with adults, adolescents and families across the NHS, community and local authority settings. Her range of experience as a therapist includes supporting clients with psychosis, depression, anxiety, bereavement, bipolar, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), learning disabilities and Autism and people who are survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence, exploitation and trauma.
Katie is registered with HCPC and BAAT, she is continuously learning in order to develop her skills and to support her clients most effectively.
