The Respond Team
Kimberley joined Respond in October 2021 as Midlands Service Manager having gained experience of managing contracts within Children’s services as the Service Manager for (NYAS) National Youth Advocacy Service.
Kimberley was part of “Missing the Point “campaign which campaigned for local councils to take the wishes and feelings of children in care seriously and to stop sending children out of county and away from their homes. Kimberley was part of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Runaway and Missing Children and Adults.
Kimberley’s first discipline is in Law and she spent three years working in Criminal Defence and Prison Law.
Kimberley then spent time working for the youth offending team as a Youth Offending Officer and has supported many young people and families, navigating them away from the Criminal Justice system. Kimberley is an experienced case manager preparing risk assessments, court reports and preparing intervention plans, she has supervised medium to high risk offenders. She holds a certificate in Youth Justice.
Kimberley’s passion is to empower young people and vulnerable adults by helping them to ensure their voice is heard and their wishes and feelings are expressed and to help build a more positive future and a brighter outcome.
