Senior Therapist

Roz is an Art Psychotherapist, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and accredited MBT Practitioner.

Since qualifying as an Art Psychotherapist in 2006 Roz has worked across a variety of settings in Scotland and London. Roz has worked with individuals and groups within services for people with Learning Disabilities and those experiencing difficulties with their mental heath.

Before undertaking her clinical training Roz worked within special education and developed a particular interest in working with people with Learning Disabilities and Autism. After qualification she worked in Scotland in community services for adults with mental health problems, survivors of abuse and trauma and services for people with Learning Disabilities.

Roz undertook further training as a UKCP registered Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist (five year training) with the Arbours Association, qualifying in 2019. She also lived and worked as a Resident Therapist for a number of years in their crisis centre, therapeutic community, for people experiencing severe crisis with their mental health often experiencing Psychosis.

Roz has gone onto work in hospital settings as a Psychotherapist, supervisor and manager of a therapy team for adults with mental health difficulties and spent a number years working in NHS community services for adults with Learning Disabilities as senior specialist Art Therapist. More recently she was a senior Psychotherapist and MBT practitioner in NHS community services for adults with Personality Disorders.

Roz’s qualification include BA (Hons) Illustration from The Edinburgh College of Art, MSc Art Psychotherapy from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, Diploma in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from The Arbours Association and full accreditation as a Mentalisation Based Therapy Practitioner with the Anna Freud Centre, she has also undertaken further training in supervision. Roz is registered with BAAT, HCPC, UKCP and is on the BPC roster of MBT practitioners
