Ruth is an artist and art psychotherapist trained in psychodynamic practice at Goldsmiths University of London with experience working with individuals through person-centered and option process dialogues. Ruth’s perspective comes from her own lived experience with neurodiversity, as well as a longstanding personal involvement with people who have learning disabilities. She has supported diverse populations, including homeless men, individuals previously incarcerated or on probation, neurodiverse children, young people, adults and families who have faced neglect, sexual abuse, violence, bereavement, suicidal ideation, and other traumatic experiences. Ruth approaches her work from an intersectional and trauma-informed perspective and is passionate about the power and importance of creativity in holistic healing. Ruth is registered with both the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT).
