On 26 June 2026, Charlotte Amoh – Respond’s Young Women’s Advocate – attended ‘The Conversation Live’, hosted by The Young Ladies Club. The Young Ladies Club focuses on building the aspirations of Black and global majority women, who are also the targeted support group for the CouRAGEus scheme.
The Conversation Live is the organisation’s flagship event as part of its Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Programme. The event aimed to encourage conversations around preventing and ending violence against women and girls while promoting healthy relationships, confidence, resilience and wellbeing.
The sessions covered a range of important topics:
- recognising and responding to coercive and controlling behaviour
- identifying red flags and green flags in relationships
- addressing tech-facilitated abuse
- mental health and wellbeing strategies
- moving forward and recovering from abuse
- establishing healthy boundaries
- interventions to prevent abuse from escalating
The event provided a valuable opportunity to network with professionals from a range of organisations supporting women and girls.
